We represent large resort homes, condos, and traditional beach cottages for rent on the Outer Banks. Our rentals are family oriented and affordable! No, we're not a big company and "corporate" in our outlook. We're The Little Company That Could. Over 75% of our renters return-- year after year.
We know that your stay with us will create memories to last a lifetime. If you're looking for a relaxing vacation getaway with sand, sun and top-notch seafood, then where else is there to go but here on North Carolina's Outer Banks? And not only are the Outer Banks wrought with tranquil beauty, but their history is equally fascinating. You can stand at Ocracoke Inlet-- the very place where Edward Teach, better known as Blackbeard, fought his final battle. Stand under the skies of Kitty Hawk where the world's first airplane flew by the hands of the Wright brothers. And then there's the granddaddy of all mysteries: an entire colony of English settlers disappeared without a trace. The "Lost Colony" mystery lives on in our very own Roanoke Island.
Yet the history of the Outer Banks continues to carry on, even through today. And it's right here for you to see with your own eyes. Not a history buff? Then you can enjoy each of the four lighthouses that have withstood the years, simply for their grandeur. They stand proudly against time and harsh weather, in Currituck, Bodie Island, Cape Hatteras and Ocracoke. The wild horses of the islands are living, breathing history. They are believed to be the descendants of the original Spanish mustangs brought over in ships and swam ashore after their vessels were sunk in the stormy seas off Hatteras. That area is still known as "The Graveyard of The Atlantic."
The Outer Banks still retain some of that old charm in their beaches. As North Carolina is one of the few states that do not use sea walls, our beaches here are still broad, undamaged and as beautiful as they always were. In fact, until the 1930s these beaches were inaccessible by any means other than traveling by boat. When the bridges from the mainland were constructed, tourists came pouring in at last and the islands quickly became a favorite. But that doesn't mean that the Outer Banks are buzzing industry islands, or that you can't come here looking for a perfect vacation; not at all. Between the pounds upon pounds of fresh seafood caught daily for your dining pleasure, the gentle sand under your feet, the quaint boutiques and the friendly locals, your time here will be well-spent.
In fact, it's hard to vacation here and not feel as though the world outside the Outer Banks doesn't exist. The miles of sound waters between ourselves and the mainland separates you from busy traffic, business calls and early wake-ups. Here is a place where you can kitesurf, go deep-sea fishing, jet ski, hang glide, or surf on some of the best waves in the Atlantic. Take a leisurely boat ride, play miniature or championship golf, or simply relax on the beach for as long as you "feel like it."
And you can escape the "real world" at any time; the islands are the perfect place to be any time of year. Summertime is full of bustling people, shopping and walking along the beach. But wintertime the islands are virtually empty, a favorite time for vacationers who truly want the Outer Banks to themselves. So no matter what time of year, there is no doubt that you will love your stay here in one of our Outer Banks vacation rentals. In fact, you just may never want to leave. We look forward to seeing you!
